How beautiful are thy feet in sandals, O prince's daughter! (Song 7:1a) How beautiful are the feet of them that bring glad tidings of good things! (Romans 10:15 also see Isa 52:7)
Beautiful feet begin with proper care. There is nothing like wearing sandals in the summer and have jacked up feet. Investing the time in getting regular pedicures, having visits to the podiatrist, and doing routine home care ensures your feet are healthy. The same holds true with our spiritual walk. We have to invest the time to remove spiritual callouses from our feet. These callouses include envy, jealousy, strife and bitterness. How can two walk together unless they agree? (See Amos 3:3) Our horizontal relationships will effect and even infect our relationship with God. No one wants to hear anything about you being a Christian or what the Bible has to say if your attitude is all bound up and pinched with mess. And Dr. Scholl’s will not fix it. The only fix is repentance and forgiveness.
