Your commandments give me understanding; no wonder I hate every false way of life. Psalm 119:104
I never realized how important this sentence was until I came to myself and said, "Wow, if you do not understand things you will never be able to attain the truth." What we feel, our desires, and our sinful natures will lead us to a falsehood in life. Therefore, decision making becomes a daunting task and a complete debacle if you do not receive the truth, which is Christ. I love the way the dictionary defines debacle a complete collapse or failure. If we are left to our own devices our way of life would be false and a complete debacle.
Understanding is the key to attaining knowledge, wisdom, and guidance to make healthy choices and decisions. You notice I did not say choices, but healthy choices. We can make some choices that will be with us for the rest of our lives and will cause us to be outside of the will of God. So make Godly Choices today.
